The danger status of Ebola in US has become increasingly alarming after another health officer who helped in treating late Liberian Eric Duncan, at the Texas Presbyterian Hospital has tested positive to the deadly virus.
After the death of the Liberian who introduced the virus to US, a medical officer, Nina Pham, few days ago tested positive and just today, it has been confirmed in a statement by the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention that another medical officer has contracted the virus.
"A second healthcare worker at Texas Presbyterian Hospital who provided care for the index patient has tested positive for Ebola according to preliminary test performed overnight by the Texas Department of State Health Services Laboratory".Meanwhile, a greater threat posed by the virus has it that the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention is currently trying to track down 132 air passengers who flew Flight 1143 of Frontier Airlines from Cleveland to Dallas on Monday October 13th after they found out that the second Ebola patient from the Texas Presbyterian Hospital flew on the same flight that day.
The anonymous healthcare worker didn't show any suspicious sign of having the virus until late yesterday. Meaning, everyone she's had close contact with has been exposed as they also look to track down the 132 persons who boarded the same flight with the index case, Eric Duncan.
This officially means Ebola is in US and they are in a serious fight to contain the deadly virus.
