BREAKING: Boko Haram To 'Release 218 Chibok Girls On Monday'


Reports just reaching us says there are strong indications that Boko Haram will 'release 218 Chibok school girls on Monday, October 20.'

Boko haram to release 218 Chibok girls

The development followed after a ceasefire agreement between Nigeria and the dreaded sect was reached after days of negotiations in Saudi Arabia headed by the President of Chad, Idriss Deby.

The Nigerian Military yesterday confirmed the development which has sparked interest globally as everyone hopes for the safe release of the school girls who were abducted over 6 months ago.
“A ceasefire agreement has been concluded between the Federal Government and the Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal Jihad (Boko Haram),” Nigeria's Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh, announced yesterday.
Hassan Tukur, who is the President's Principal Secretary, also confirmed to BBC Focus on Africa that  an agreement had been reached with the deadly sect to end all acts of terrorism.

Tukur said the Nigerian government had responded to Boko Haram's announcement of unilateral ceasefire on Thursday.
“The Boko Haram members have assured us that they have the girls and that they will release them. I am cautiously optimistic,” he said.
