"Muhammed Buhari is not my son" - General Buhari denies 20m scam son

General Buhari, Buhari 20m scam son, Buhari interview

The Former military Head of State, Major Gen. Muhammed Buhari has finally come out of his silence to speak about the 20m naira scam by one Mister Muhammed who claimed to be his adopted son.

He said Muhammed is not his son thereby distancing himself from the young man who has been arrested by EFCC.

In a statement issued on his behalf by Mr. Jasper Azuatalam, Buhari denied ever knowing the said Muhammed and said he had no reason to adopt any son as God has blessed him with both male and female children. Read part of the statement below:

“Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) wishes to state categorically that he does not have any adopted son called “Muhammed Buhari” and had no need to adopt a son at any time having been blessed with choice children, both male and female.

“Muhammadu Buhari and his family do not know the said “Muhammed Buhari” who is alleged to be involved in a N20m scam and is being held by the EFCC as reported.”

Azuatalam has urged Nigerians to please disregard and not believe the reports, saying the former head of state and his family will never be caught in a scam related issue and it’s only an attempt by mischief makers to smear his iconic image.
