The former president alongside General Abdulsalami usually pay annual Sallah homage to his State Governor but this time, he was absent while his colleague, Abdulsalami was present.
Due to his absence, IBB phoned in and spoke to journalists via Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu’s phone as he assured them that he was well and aiming to return to the country soon.
“I miss all of you, I wish you all Barka de Sallah. I am better now and I will be back in few days’ time".Before then, Governor Aliyu had sent a delegation to Germany to visit the ailing former president.
