The Nigerian Military has apprehended about 50 persons who are suspected looters of petroleum in Majidun ares of Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Following a tip-off, officers of the Nigerian Navy alongside Army personnel carried out the raid at about 7:30am last week Sunday in which over 1,000 jerrycans loaded with looted petroleum products including about 100 canoes were recovered from the looters.
The operatives stormed the hideout while the vandals were busy with their looting activities, the unfortunate ones got arrested while others who could swim, dived into the river and swam away.
