The Dubai-based Nigerian journalist Ahmed Salkida, who was urgently flown in recently to negotiate with the Boko Haram sect has announced reliably that Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau is alive and well.
Ahmed Salkida was recently summoned by the Nigerian government to Negotiate with Boko Haram |
The journalist made this report which is contrary to what the Nigeria Security Officials had recently claimed that Shekau had been killed on September 17th, 2014.
We also reported that the Cameroonian military had released a photo claiming they killed Shekau in a bloody combat.
However, the dead man was identified as one Bashir Mohammed, leader of the Boko Haram's camp in Uye.
Other Nigerian officials also claimed Shekau was dead but cited his death as a result of an internal rivalry between the notorious leader and his disaffected lieutenants as they were fighting for the leadership of the terrorist organization.
But it has now emerged that the man behind the scary name, Shekau, is alive and well, according to Salkida who broke the news yesterday on his twitter page. See tweets below..
Salkida also squashed recent rumours of a negotiation process going on with the sect for the release of the abducted Chibok school girls.
In his other tweets, he confirmed that Nigerian Authorities have NOT been able to reclaim any of the towns that were seized by Boko Haram, adding that they (Nigeria) were only able to prevent the sect from tearing Konduga and Maiduguri apart.
