So, Christian Association of Nigeria President (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor is being criticized by Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) for his constant meeting with President Jonathan.

According to the Archbishop of Jos and President of CBCN, Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama, Oritsejafor is smearing the image of CAN as his private plane is being linked with the controversial arms deal in South Africa.

The Catholic leaders said military aircrafts could have possibly been used for that purpose and added that they don't understand why the government would decide to use his private plane.
“We have been watching with sadness how Oristejafor has been hobnobbing with the Presidency for long, he is dragging Christianity into the mud. It is not proper, the guilty must be punished. It is not acceptable for a Christian leader to be seen always with the President.  We in the Catholic have always picked holes in Oritsejafor’s style of leadership in CAN and we even wanted to stop attending CAN meetings at the national level” the Catholic leader said.
The CAN President is yet to reply.

Meanwhile, we reported yesterday that security sources confirmed that Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor was involved in the arms deal. You can read that HERE.
