52-year-old Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has quit has job as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles after he failed to guide Nigeria to the Quarter Finals in the ongoing World Cup in Brazil.
Nigeria was eliminated by France in the round of 16 as a Paul Pogba header and an own goal from Captain Joseph Yobo saw the Eagles crash out.
France scored twice in the final 11 minutes of the game which means Nigeria had put up a good fight before they lost concentration which led to the two goals.

According to Keshi, who captained Nigeria in the 1994 World Cup finals and also Managed Mali and Togo's national teams, he had earlier decided to quit the Managerial job due to a lack of support and respect but claimed he was persuaded to stay by the Nigerian Sport Minister.
Nigeria reached the knockout stages for the first time since 1998 after they beat Bosnia-Herzegovina in their group games despite a dispute of bonuses the players faced.
The team Captain, Joseph Yobo, also announced his retirement from international football following their exit from the tournament.

According to Yobo, it was a sad but glorious ending to his International career as they crashed out of the World Cup.
He said:
"This is it. I can look back on my career with great pride."
"It's time to give a chance to other people to come through. Our football has a bright future and I am confident this team can achieve success sooner rather than later."Yobo, who is Nigeria's most capped international player made his 100th appearance for the Nation when they previously took on Argentina.
"I wanted to leave on a high for my country. Defeat by France was not the right way to go but I'm happy with all I've done for the national team," added Yobo.
He has played a record of 10 matches for Nigeria in three different World Cup finals - 2002, 2010 and 2014, beating former Super Eagles Captain, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha's 9 times record.
However, Yobo added that he will still continue with his club football.
