Three hotel attendants have been arrested for allegedly recording a customer's sexual affair and demanding a N10million ransom.
The accused, who were identified as Rita Emmanuel (28), Sunday Okon (23) and Goodness Akpan (24), had used the hotel's CCTV to record the guest's sexual affair with his girlfriend.
They are facing a four-count charge of fraud, conspiracy and indecent practices, demanding property with menace.
Uche Simon, who stood in as the prosecutor, told the court that the accused persons had once conspired to record a guest while he was sleeping with his girlfriend on August 13.
Simon also said that they went as far as producing a DVD on it which they sold to residents of the area while he added that they demanded a N10million naira ransom and threatened to publicize it on facebook if the man refused to provide the money.
“The accused actually posted it on the facebook between August 13 and 23.’’Simon said the offences contravened Sections 136, 166 (d), 299 and 409 of Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011 which may see the accused, if found guilty, sentenced to a minimum of three years each on conviction.
However, the three men pleaded not guilty and the court granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 each.
According to NAN, the three hotel attendants were moved to Kirikiri Prisons where they will be released upon the fulfillment of their bail condition.
