It has been revealed that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Aminu Tambuwal, had a secret meeting with former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, at his residence in Abeokuta on Tuesday.

Tambuwal arrived Obasanjo's house at about 5:30pm and left around 6:18pm.
Our sources gathered that the purpose of the meeting was related to Tambuwal's electoral ambition in the 2015 elections as rumour has it that the Speaker is nursing a presidential ambition.
However, Mr Imam Imam, who is Tambuwal's media aide moved quick to distance his boss from such rumour by saying the meeting was only scheduled so they could discuss the state of the nation and they way forward.
“You know Baba is a father to all in the country. The visit was a consultation.When asked if the meeting had to do with the speaker's 2015 presidential ambition, he said:
“It is about rubbing minds on how to move the country forward, and make Nigeria better.
“I could not say anything on that because it was a closed door meeting. About the presidential ambition, that also I could not comment on. Let’s wait till 2015 and then we will address that.”
