Koye is a Nigerian diplomat who works for ECOWAS. He was one of the first persons who made contact with late Liberian Patrick Sawyer.

He broke out from the Lagos State Ebola quarantine ward and traveled down to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to meet late late Dr. Enemuo who secretly treated him in a hotel.

Shortly after receiving treatments from Enemuo, Koye flew back to Lagos where he was then certified 'Ebola free' but the doctor who treated him suddenly took ill and died of the virus.

Late Dr. Enemuo's wife had been quarantined in Lagos after she tested positive to the virus and she also has a 3-month-old baby who has also been infected.

According to reports, Olu-Ibukun Koye may face charges for manslaughter.
