BREAKING: Nigeria Successfully Blocks Ebola, Has 'One' Case Left — Minister

Nigeria's Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, has announced that Nigeria has successfully blocked the Ebola virus by reducing its total cases in the country to one.

In a press conference which held today, the Minister said, as at today, Tuesday 26th 2014, there's only one Ebola patient currently isolated in Nigeria. The figure has been reduced from the thirteen cases that were recorded of which seven survived while five unfortunately died.

He added that all 129 people who were placed under surveillance have completed the 21-day observation period and only one person was suspected of having the virus who is currently being observed.

The deadly virus was brought into the country 38 days ago by late Liberian Patrick Sawyer who later died.

Meanwhile, late Doctor Ameyo's sister who was earlier rumoured of having the virus has been cleared. Her family also denied such reports saying she's healthy and without the disease.
