The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) have banned people coming from countries affected associated with Ebola cases from attending their on-going national convention in Lagos.
The order was passed by the church's General Overseer, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, who said the reason for this is to stop delegates from Ebola affected countries like Liberia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, from coming to spread the virus in Nigeria having it that Nigeria is currently battling with Ebola cases, all thanks to Late Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian man who brought the virus into the country and died afterwards.
Pastor Adeboye, who was visited by officials from the Lagos State government and Federal government was urged to adopt precautionary measures by stopping people from Ebola infected countries from attending the convention which normally attracts thousands of people from different nations.
